From paper case files to a digital platform: DBRC is a finalist for the 2026 DIA Award

Proceedings before the Flemish administrative law courts are increasingly conducted digitally. Through the Digital Platform of the Flemish administrative law courts, procedural documents can be submitted, managed and exchanged electronically. Various stages of the procedure come together in one environment. This makes the exchange of documents and the monitoring and handling of cases easier.
This represents a significant change. Legal proceedings are governed by strict rules and bring together various courts and user groups, including citizens. With this platform, DBRC redesigned a core process within administrative justice.
Since 30 March 2026, the platform has been used for digital proceedings at, among others, the Council for Permit Disputes and the Enforcement College.
A nomination to be proud of together
DBRC, together with Bridg and Atos, submitted a video about the project for the 2026 DIA Award. The platform was selected as one of the three finalists from all the entries. A fine recognition of the work of all the teams involved and of the step DBRC is taking towards digital administrative justice.
